Aesthetic Care In A Rural Setting.
"You look great!" It's a phrase we all want to hear. And all too often when we hear that we look great, we tend to feel great as well! It's not that most people are operating narcissists, but we do want to look our best for as long as possible, especially when out and about in our communities. And with the Holiday social season coming up on the calendar, wanting a little extra help into the "looking and feeling great" column can make a world of difference.
At Memorial Hospital of Converse County, we help patients with multiple aesthetic medicine needs. We have two nurse practitioners: Kellie Clausen in our Medical Office Building and Temberly Long in our Oregon Trail Rural Health Clinic that can assist our patients with access to aesthetic care including Botox, Juvederm, and Voluma.
We asked Temberly Long, DNP a few questions on the move for our Glenrock clinic to begin providing these services, what services and products are available and how they help patients!
1.) What products are now being offered at the OTRHC? Why these products?
I am currently offering BOTOX administration. Botox is the only approved treatment of its kind that temporarily improves the look of fine lines and wrinkles of the face.
2.) Why do you feel these products are helpful to the patients you see?
BOTOX provides a temporary decrease in the muscle activity. BOTOX allows visible smoothing of the skin which provides a more youthful appearance. BOTOX does not prevent your ability to form facial expressions or drastically change your appearance. The procedure is rapidly becoming more popular for men and women of all ages.
3.) How can these products be used and administered to your patients?
The procedure can be done with no downtime and minimal aftercare instructions. It can be performed over your lunch break before you return to your normal activities! Results are maximized by two weeks and can last up to 4 months. BOTOX is a quick and nearly painless method for obtaining your best appearance. Various methods can be used to reach your goals.
