Beckie Oliver, RN has been named Director of Inpatient Nursing according to Chief Nursing Officer Cristy Cobb. The new position took effect June 2nd following the resignation of Medical/Surgical Manager, Jeneal Swan, who is moving to Texas.

"Beckie and the OB Nurses and Providers have achieved consistency in excellent patient satisfaction and quality outcomes, which is a great accomplishment," said Cobb. "Collaboration is vital as we are called to become more efficient in care delivery while maintaining patient excellence and reduce costs."

Oliver began working at Memorial Hospital in 1994. During her tenure Oliver has worked as a nurse in nearly every capacity. "While at Memorial Hospital I've worked in the ER, OR, PACU, OB, and Med/Surg," said Oliver. "We have great staff on 3rd floor and I am excited to work with all of them." Oliver's love for Douglas and Memorial Hospital coupled with her experience and drive to provide the best possible experience for patients made her the ideal candidate for the position. "Beckie's the one," said CEO Ryan Smith. "I have every confidence that she will be successful in her new role."
