Visitation Restrictions In Effect At Memorial Hospital of Converse County

Hospital news | Friday, January 24, 2020

Contact: Karl Hertz

At Memorial Hospital of Converse County, we encourage visitation routinely throughout the year to our third floor and inpatient care areas. We understand that seeing family and friends can be uplifting and a significant part of helping our patients feel comfortable and connected throughout their time with us. However, with the influenza virus activity now considered high or widespread throughout Wyoming, as well as the prevalence of other highly contagious Winter-time bugs, we must take precautions to protect our patients, staff, and community.

We ask that the following individuals refrain from visiting patients at this time:

Anyone with the following symptoms of illness:

  • Cough
  • Sore Throat
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Runny Nose
  • Body Aches
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Anyone under the age of 12

Only 2 visitors at a time, please

We, of course, apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.

If you do visit, please wash your hands before and after your visit, avoid touching your face in the “t-zone" (the eyes, nose, or mouth), and practice preventative actions. See this page on the CDC site for more information on ways to lessen the spread of influenza.

If you have any questions, please contact the nurse in charge on the third floor. Thank you again for your cooperation.
