York Receives Patriot Award

Memorial Hospital of Converse County's Director of Human Resources, Linda York, was presented with the Department of Defense's Patriot Award at a ceremony held in the hospital's Green Arbor Café on Thursday, October 18. Dean Welch, Program Support Director and Linda Miller, Wyoming Area Chair for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) presented the award and thanked the hospital and York for their support of Veterans. Human Resources Assistant, Danie Moore submitted York's name for consideration. Moore, a Specialist with the Wyoming National Guard's A CO 960 BSB, attended annual training, just days after being hired by York. Moore said she nominated York because York knew Moore had obligations to the Guard. "Linda knew I had obligations to the Guard and that my absence would cause an additional work load on the department, but she hired me anyway," said Moore.
