Biography
Dr. Binder was born in Humboldt, Nebraska and grew up in Table Rock, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 1984 and completed his Family Practice residency there in 1987. He has had an interesting and varied medical career. Before moving to Casper in 1993, he practiced family medicine and obstetrics as well as emergency medicine in Gillette. He had his own private practice in Casper for ten years and, prior to joining Western Medical in 2014, he worked as an Emergency Physician at Wyoming Medical Center. This background is a great asset when caring for our acutely ill patients. Jon is great about sharing his expertise with our other providers.
Jon says, "I am a family physician with extensive ER experience, able to evaluate and treat or refer to specialists most medical conditions in all age groups. I believe in treating people with respect and trying to work together with the patient, family and other specialists involved in their care.
Dr. Binder is Board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the Wyoming Medical Society. He and his wife have two sons and they all enjoy skiing, hiking and outdoor sports.
