Julie Johnson completed her Associates Degree in Nursing at Casper College in 2010. Since that time, she has furthered her education by obtaining her BSN, MSN and nurse practitioner. During her 11 years of nursing, she has worked long term care, med/surg nursing, school nursing, pre and post anesthesia care nursing and office nursing.

Julie comments, "Currently I am working alongside Dr. John Thalken at Memorial Hospital of Converse County. I also assist with seeing residents at Douglas Care Center and Mountain Lodge Assisted Living. I am so grateful to be serving the geriatric population as this has always been my favorite patient population. I am completely embracing this new career role and enjoy coming to work every day to take care of patients and see what new things I can learn while doing so!

While I was not born in Wyoming, I consider myself to be 'native' having spent the last 36 years of my life in this great state. I spent the majority of my younger years in Glenrock and have lived in Douglas for the last ten years. My husband Ken and I have three grown children, all of whom live in Douglas. When I am not working, I like to spend my time showing my Nubian dairy goats in the Colorado and Wyoming areas."
