Summer is now all but gone. And while we may get a few warm days, the night’s cooler temps, that certain crispness in the air tells us in Southeastern Wyoming: Fall Is here, and Winter isn’t too far behind! Our minds may naturally turn to falling leaves, pumpkins, and other festivities heralding Autumn, the season also brings a rather pesky reminder that cold and flu season is also at our door!
One of the standing promises of Memorial Hospital of Converse County is to deliver Advanced Medicine. Hometown Care. And it’s this very Hometown Care we focus on when we work to nourish our community in our Arbor Cafe. We sat down with a few key players to discuss the efforts of our cafe in recent years, especially how we’re literally nourishing people at our tables on the weekends by building a community in our Sunday Brunch and Special Meal offerings.
The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) has re-designated Memorial Hospital of Converse County as a Community Trauma Hospital. In a letter to CEO Ryan Smith, the Wyoming Trauma Program Manager wrote “Memorial Hospital of Converse County’s obvious commitment to the development of their trauma program is to be commended. This designation award demonstrates your institution’s dedication to quality patient care for your community and the residents of Wyoming.”
All during the month of October and beyond we are encouraging our community to share important facts about breast cancer, encourage the women in your life to schedule and get a mammogram and perform regular self-checks.
