The ER at Memorial Hospital of Converse County is staffed with physicians and providers trained in emergency medicine. Our nursing staff, paramedics and other providers treat everything from heart attacks and strokes to broken bones. Specialized training includes trauma, pediatrics, cardiac life support, burn life support and sexual assault nurse exams.
Our staff works as a team to ensure the best care possible, and our hospital's radiology department and laboratory are among the best in the state, ensuring quick diagnosis of any problem.
In July 2017, Memorial Hospital opened its newly renovated Emergency Room in Douglas. It is now equipped with private bays, an isolation room with private bath, and an updated Trauma Room with improved workflow, lighting, and equipment. With the updates, Memorial Hospital is now re-designated as a Community Trauma Hospital.
