Inpatient Hospital Services

The majority of patients would prefer to recover at home. But there are occasions where being released isn't the best option, and staying within the confines of the hospital's main building for observation becomes a necessity. We realize that in order for our patients to feel truly at ease, they need to feel like they are at home. We work to provide a level of inpatient care that meets and exceeds the highest 18 levels of expectations.

You are our friends, our neighbors, and our family and we want you to feel like such if you have to stay here as an inpatient. Our patients are the center of our organization and our care team was recognized recently by Press Ganey for achieving patient satisfaction in the 99% range. The award was based on feedback provided by you, our patients.

In addition to caring for your needs as a patient, we also make sure that your family is provided for and accommodated while you heal. Our patient rooms come with added pull-out sofas or hide-a-beds so that members of your family can stay with you during your recovery. We want you to have the comforts of home while away from home, so our Arbor Café cooks up amazing dishes that redefine the concept of "Hospital Food."

We haven't overlooked one detail, and we want to make sure that you and your family are all well taken care of while you stay with us.

Hospitalists

Memorial Hospital of Converse County has three full-time employed Hospitalists whose only responsibility is the care of inpatients on Memorial Hospital's third floor. Memorial's Hospitalists coordinate patient care with other physicians, nursing staff, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, registered dietitian and all other disciplines throughout the hospital. The Hospitalist is available 24/7 to manage patient care, answer questions from other members of the patient's care team and visit with family about their loved one's care.
