Matthew Mitchell, MD

Dr. Matthew Mitchell is a board-certified, and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with almost 30 years of experience. He graduated Cum Laude from Harvard Medical School and completed his internship and residency at Ohio State University in Orthopedic Surgery. He completed his foot and ankle surgery fellowship at North Shore Private Hospital in Australia. Dr. Mitchell has an extensive military background, starting by receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Dr. Mitchell sees a wide range of patients for trauma and orthopedic care. He is experienced with hand surgery, ligament reconstruction, knee replacement, cartilage transplantation, bone lengthening, and ultrasound-guided injections.

In his spare time, Dr. Mitchell is very active in the community. He currently serves as President of Wyoming for Heroes, a charity started to support veterans and first responders in Wyoming. Dr. Mitchell also serves as President of the Natrona County Medical Society. He is an active member of the Wyoming High School Activities Sports Medicine Committee and Lander Pipe Band.

Dr. Mitchell is accepting new patients at Summit Orthopedic and Spine Institute in Casper and Lander.
